MITCH & JAZ

We took a trip to West Clare last summer to do a photoshoot with our good friend Dearbhla Glynn.  Our friends Mitch and Jaz were up for doing an exchange and being our models. We took these cute photos in their vegetable garden near Lahinch…..

As you know we love to share the love, so we want to tell you of the wonderful things that Mitch and Jaz do for this mad world we live in.

When we met them, Jaz was expecting their first child.  As we chatted over tea, she told me how she was working to raise money for women who were expecting while living in Direct Provision.  Inspired by this initiative we decided to donate 10% from the first few weeks of the sales of the new range to the Appeal Jaz was helping with.  We contributed €270 to the fund.  Baby Arlo was born a few months later and she is a little cutie.

Mitch is the founder, trustee and managing director of tree-planting charity Hometree. Their aim is to establish and conserve permanent native woodland in Ireland, encouraging land regeneration and biodiversity through afforestation, restoration and education. Since 2015 they have planted over 30,000 pioneer trees with the help of hundreds of people who have contributed time and resources to the vision of incorporating more trees into the Irish landscape. To find out how to get involved in tree planting days, to pledge or become a partner visit HOMETREE.

Our photographer Dearbhla is a yoga teacher, award winning filmmaker, photo-journalist and artist. She teaches meditation, vinyasa, yin and restorative yoga. Her documentary filmmaking explores themes of culture, human rights and conflict.
